Baba Sri Chand (1494 to 1643) lived approximately 149 years and traveled throughout India, transmitting the direct experience of inner liberation to seekers of every background. According to the living tradition, he still prevails in his radiant body on the land where this Ashram stands.

  • The Udasin tradition, from the Sanskrit "Udasin," meaning "beyond" or "detached," is the path of the renunciate yogi founded by Baba Sri Chand. It is non-sectarian, welcomes seekers from every walk of life, and emphasizes inner renunciation, meditative discipline, and selfless service. For more than five centuries it has carried the direct transmission of his teachings.

  • The Ashram is rooted in the Nirmallay Sikh Sadhu tradition and the Udasin lineage of Baba Sri Chand. It is directly connected to Nirmal Panchati Akhara in Kankhal, Haridwar, one of the oldest and most respected centers of this tradition. Yogi Amandeep Singh carries the living transmission of the lineage and guides the Ashram.

  • Without safe access, every part of the Ashram's life becomes harder: welcoming visitors, transporting materials, sustaining daily activity. The access road is the single most foundational practical project the Ashram needs right now.

  • The care, development, and long-term sustainability of the Ashram. The current emphasis is on the access road, the meditation hall, the community kitchen, and overall Ashram development.

  • Yes. You can direct your gift to the access road, the meditation hall, the community kitchen (langar), sacred tree planting, or general Ashram support.

  • The specific chamber on the Ashram grounds where Mahasiddha Baba Sri Chand sat in deep meditation and solitude. It has been preserved exactly as it was, and remains a place of stillness and inner reflection. For many visitors it is the most profound experience available on the land.
